Description
OHME SILESIA GERMAN PORCELAIN PITCHER Old Ivory Victorian Rose Transferware 1890A hand decorated, transferware, porcelain lidded pitcher by OHME of Silesia, Germany (now western Poland)
OHME porcelain is highly sought for its high quality and luxurious wares. This piece is no exception. The soft, detailed transfer of the roses and buds, along with the intricate, art nouveau styled borders and gold gilt highlights are hand detailed
OHME began production in 1882 and ended in 1928. This pitcher is probably a late 19th century product, possibly 1880s or 1890s
Condition is excellent. One tiny scuff mark appears to have removed a small area of ivory paint revealing the white porcelain underneath. Some light smudging on the ivory paint would likely wash off with a more detailed cleaning
Measures 9.5" tall with lid and 3.75" in diameter across the foot
