Description

Royal Bayreuth German Hand-Painted 'Turkey Hunting Scene' Porcelain Creamer. Made in Bavaria, Germany. This amazing ”German Creamer" is hand-painted in greens and browns and gold, with gold-gilt accents. It has a scene of a Hunter, 3 turkeys, and lovely, green tree. The creamer is approx. 3-7/8" tall. On the bottom is the mark of the manufacturer, and you can see it in the last photo. It is in very good condition. The only flaw that we have noticed is a tiny chip on the lip, which a previous owner painted over the spot with gold paint and it blends in well. There are no other chips or flaws to the rim, handle or base. The gold-gilt on the rim of the creamer and the handle shows a bit of wear. Unusual and attractive "Royal Bayreuth German Hand-Painted 'Turkey Hunting Scene' Porcelain Creamer."  Made in Bavaria, Germany.
This amazing ”German Creamer" is hand-painted in greens and browns and gold, with gold-gilt accents.  Painted on the center of one side is the scene of a Hunter … ein Jäger … with his gun.   In addition there are 2 turkeys, who apparently have no fear of hunters, and in fact are trying to tell him that there is another turkey right around the corner "who looks much more juicy."  Painted on the front (under the spout) is a full, lovely, green  tree.   And on the other side is a mountainous background and one lone turkey, who is questioning his life choices.
The creamer is approx. 3-7/8" tall.  It's difficult to measure, since it has many "frilly" parts including  the handle.  The diameter is about 3 inches at the widest point (again not including the spout or the handle.)  On the bottom is the mark of the manufacturer, and you can see it in the last photo.  This is an older version of the Royal Bayreuth Mark.
This outstanding and unique, "Hand-painted Creamer" is in very good condition.  The only flaw that we have noticed is a tiny chip on the lip. It appears that a previous owner painted over the spot with gold paint and it blends in well.   There are no other chips or flaws to the rim, handle or base.  The gold-gilt on the rim of the creamer and the handle shows a bit of wear.
