    Description

    Presented by Gin-For's Odditiques
Schafer and Vater Dragon Covered Box
Schafer and Vater is well known for their often whimsical items, usually leaning toward the kitsch side, but they also made some very fine items while maintaining that whimsy.  This may be may all time favorite.  It's a Chinese dragon sitting on a rock or perhaps an egg and staring right at us with a grin like a Cheshire cat.  This is at the very least an uncommon item, and I suspect that it qualifies as rare.
Height is about 3" with a length of about 4 1/4".
Condition is good, but there's a small area on the tail that has flaked, rather as if a few scales fell off.  The location is unfortunate, but with the overall coloring, it doesn't really catch the eye.  Our guarantee is simple.  If you don't like it when you open the box, send it back, and we'll refund your purchase price plus original shipping.  You pay return shipping.  If we messed up in the description in some significant way, then we pay return shipping as well, and since I really don't want to have to pay the shipping, I try extra hard not to make such mistakes....aside from being the right thing to do.
If you have any questions, just get in touch.  I can answer any question.....as long as you keep in mind that "I don't know" is an answer.   We pack with plenty of bubble wrap and peanuts and offer a choice between Priority Mail and Retail Ground (both USPS).  My joints may not be so flexible anymore, but our service can still bend to suit your needs....with some limits, of course.
This Is Us: What's "Gin-For"?  Strictly medicinal purposes.  It also stands for Ginny and Forrest, and Odditiques is oddities and antiques.  I wanted top billing, but For-Gin didn't seem quite right in the antiques game.  Hope you've enjoyed seeing the item and maybe got a chuckle, too.  No extra charge for chuckles, giggles, or smiles.
(The photo with Berlioz is essentially our logo.  Lancelot's mug is for perspective only, not for sale.  Cats and batteries not included, although a search will find the cats on their own pages as well as finding more Gin-For's Odditiques.)
